NATURALISTIC TOUR

The beautiful territory of the Strada del Vino e dei Sapori Val di Mazara that goes down from the Salemi Hills to the sea, is rich of impressive landscapes made up of flourishing vineyards, mellow hills enriched by old farmhouse. An ideal ecological tour can surely start from the border between the towns of Mazara and Petrosino where the land is particularly humid.

• The “Margi Spanò”, the “Margi Nespolilla” and the “ Margi Milo” located in Petrosino.
• The Nature reserve of “Capo Feto” located on the western side of Mazara del Vallo.
• A rich and thick Mediterranean maquis and a rich sedentary and migratore ornithology surround the lakes Murana, Preola and Gorghi Tondi.
• On the north side of the Preola Lake, in the territory of Campobello di Mazara, we have the Leone quagmire, and artificial quagmire made up of rain wastewater.
• Along the Campobello di Mazara coast we have the  Borgo of Torretta – Granitola and the beach of Tre Fontane, characterized by his sand dune covered by native vegetation.
• The inland part of Mazara is characterized by dry and rocky sprawls called the sciare.
• Going more deep in the inland the landscape becomes more sweet and verdant with wide valley rich of watercourse and woods, partuculary in the territory of Vita, a small village nearby Salemi, where the Bosco della Baronia is equipped for excursion and nature tours.
